Real Results

"We've run a Masters pool as our annual YoungLife fundraiser for three years now. People who don't follow golf at all still buy in — because it's exciting and the money goes somewhere real. We've raised close to $10,000 just watching golf."

Common Questions

Everything you need to know.

How does a Masters golf pool fundraiser actually work?

You create a pool, set an entry fee, and share a link with your community. Participants pay the fee directly to you and pick one golfer from each of 9 tiers. During Masters week (April 9–12), live scores update automatically. After the tournament, winners get their portion — and the rest goes to your cause.

Do participants need to know anything about golf?

Not at all. Masters Madness includes built-in player research — odds, current form, and scouting notes — so complete golf novices can make confident picks. Many of the most engaged participants in fundraising pools have never watched a full round of golf.

How much money can we realistically raise?

It depends on your network and entry fee. A common structure: 50 participants at $40 each = $2,000 raised, with $500–700 going to prizes and the rest to your cause. Groups with larger networks or higher entry fees can clear $5,000+ in a single week.

Is Masters Madness free to use for fundraisers?

Yes, completely free during our beta period. You create the pool, set the entry fee, collect payments however you prefer (Venmo, cash, PayPal — we don't care), and keep 100% of the money. We take nothing.

How do I collect entry fees from participants?

You collect directly — Venmo, Cash App, PayPal, Zelle, cash, check, whatever works for your group. Masters Madness doesn't process payments, which means zero platform fees and direct control over your fundraising dollars.

Can we run the pool annually as a recurring fundraiser?

Absolutely. The Masters happens every April, making it a natural recurring calendar event. Many organizations run the same format year after year — and it gets easier every time because participants know what to expect.
